Grennan and Sperandio were commissioned to make new work for the international contemporary art survey Traffic, curated by Nicolas Bourriaud, and their works have often been exhibited with other "Relational Art" practitioners, such as Rirkrit Tiravanija and Maurizio Cattelan.
In 2011 Vrijmoet’s installation piece “Mother May I…?” was exhibited at the Orange County Center on Contemporary Arts (OCCCA),in a show that was endorsed by Nicolas Bourriaud, who coined the term relational aesthetics Relational art.
Its artistic practice is connected with the tradition of European actionism and Nicolas Bourriaud’s “relational aesthetics”.
