Noojin was also an active politician, serving on the Republican State Committee and the Republican National Convention.
He went on to serve four terms as a Republican from Ada County in the Idaho House of Representatives, became executive director of the Republican State Committee, and ran for Governor in 1978 but did not get the party nomination.
