Adulis

In 1868, workers attached to Napier's campaign against Tewodros II visited Adulis and exposed several buildings, including the foundations of a Byzantine-like church.

Eleonora Aguiari

In 2004, for her final show at the Royal College of Art, she wrapped an equestrian statue of Lord Napier of Magdala, situated on Queen's Gate in West London, in bright red duct tape, giving the appearance of the statue being painted red.

Joseph Octave Delepierre

Delepierre was twice married, first to Emily, the sister of Robert Napier, 1st Baron Napier of Magdala, by whom he had two daughters.
