On July 30, 2012 Salt-N-Pepa opened up for rap group Public Enemy in Brooklyn, New York as part of the Martin Luther King Jr. Concert Series.
In August 2002, Kay Gee had the vision to create an R&B version of Salt-N-Pepa and added Michelle "DJ Myche Luv" Colon, a young female DJ.
