Empompo Loway

In 1983, in Kinshasa, Empompo and his friend from TPOK Jazz, Sam Mangwana, together with singer Ndombe Opertun, who had recently left TPOK Jazz, formed the band Tiers Monde Coopération.

Geo Bilongo

In 1994, he created a project called Soukouss Gentlemen which featured Shimita, Papa Wemba, Sam Mangwana, Fede Lawu, and Geo Bilongo.

Le Grand Kallé

At its height, L'African Jazz included big names like guitarist Dr Nico Kasanda, saxophonist Manu Dibango and singers Tabu Ley Rochereau, Sam Mangwana and Pepe Kalle.
