On June 17, 2007, Professor Gustavo Moncayo, father of a soldier held by the FARC guerrillas since 1997, began to walk as protest from his hometown Sandoná, in the department of Nariño, southern Colombia, to Bogotá, seeking to promote an agreement for the release of his son Pablo Emilio.
Matteo Sandonà (1881–1964) was a painter born in Schio, Italy and raised in the Alps.
In Summer 2010 the club moved to San Donà di Piave, giving to the local club A.C. Sandonà 1922, from now renamed SandonàJesoloCalcio, its sport title of Serie D, acquired in 2001 and thus closing operations in Jesolo.
