In 2003 & 2004, the species was again seen here and at Sandwich Bay, Kent (Forrest 2005).

Monk's Wall nature reserve

Sandwich Bay Bird Observatory Trust proposed the design and a management plan which included modifications to ditches and control of water levels to create ecological conditions that attract wetland species of plants, animals and birds.

Willesborough Dykes

There are few other places in East Kent with the same characteristics as the South Willesborough Dykes, other areas of grazing marsh are designated as the Sandwich Bay and Hacklinge marshes SSSI, Ash Level and South Richborough Pasture an SNCI, there are nature reserves at Gazen Salts recreation ground (Sandwich) and Monk's Wall nature reserve.
