At the same time, Nadler has published scholarly studies of some of the major sects of Hasidism, such as Satmar, Munkatch and Slonim, in addition to a widely noted analysis of the culinary habits of the Hasidim on the Shabbat and Jewish holidays ("Holy Kugel") that has been widely mistaken for an anti-Hasidic satire.
During the trial, Satmar Rebbe Aaron Teitelbaum had described Weberman’s accuser as a “zona,” or “whore”.
He journeyed on a special train bound for neutral Switzerland along with other prominent Jews including the Satmar Rebbe, Rabbi Joel Teitelbaum; the Debreciner Rov, Rabbi Moshe Stern; and Adolph Deutsch, head of the Budapest branch of Agudath Israel.
