9 unusual facts about Saw Mill River Parkway


Hastings Prototype House

The first section of one, the Saw Mill, passed through the eastern section of the village of Hastings-on-Hudson.

The house is located on the northwest corner of the intersection, approximately one-quarter mile (500 m) along Farragut from its intersection with the Saw Mill River Parkway.

New York State Route 117

As Manville Road, the highway heads past five residential blocks, connecting to the southbound direction of the Saw Mill River Parkway before entering Pleasantville's commercial center at Memorial Plaza.

The northern terminus is at an interchange with the Saw Mill River Parkway south of Katonah, a hamlet in the town of Bedford.

While the Saw Mill River Parkway would have provided an alternate route to I-684 from NY 117, commercial traffic was prohibited from using the highway.

New York State Route 119

The road is a major thoroughfare in the county and provides access to the New York State Thruway, Saw Mill River Parkway, Sprain Brook Parkway and Bronx River Parkway, four of the major roads in the county.

NY 119 continues into Elmsford, becoming Main Street and narrowing to four lanes as it connects to the Saw Mill River Parkway at an interchange just west of the village center.

New York State Route 133

Just after crossing into Mount Kisco, NY 133 enters an interchange with exit 34 of the Saw Mill River Parkway.

New York State Route 141

After three blocks, the road and railroad turn to the northeast and begin to run alongside the Saw Mill River Parkway.
