This led to his promotion to the Elite League squad, replacing Aran Fox and Summerfield made his short debut coming on to replace Scott Fankhouser in a 5-2 loss for the Phoenix in Yorkshire against the Sheffield Steelers.
Fox did not manage to start a game for the Phoenix however,and was used as the back-up goaltender behind the ex-Atlanta Thrashers player Scott Fankhouser.
Despite his reliability, Wolfe opted not to re-sign the following year, in part because of the birth of his first child, with player/coach Tony Hand opting to sign ex-NHL goaltender Scott Fankhouser as a result.
Fone made a loan move to the Blaze's EIHL rivals the Manchester Phoenix in January 2008 due to an injury to the Phoenix's first choice goaltender, Scott Fankhouser.
