One of Gereau's foster brothers, Leopold Adelbert Augustus Ffrench, moved to Mexico and a grandson Leonardo I. Ffrench serving in the diplomatic corps eventually became the Director General of the Institute for Mexicans Abroad of the Secretaria de Relaciones Exteriores.
Her collective shows have been in Mexico and abroad, with foreign shows sponsored by the Secretaría de Relaciones Exteriores, the Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes and various Mexican embassies in North America, Europe and Asia, along with biennales such as the first Bienal de Artes Plásticas de América Latina y el Caribe in Havana and the Bienal Rufino Tamayo.
The trips abroad were sponsored by Fundación BBVA Bancomer, the Dirección General de Cooperación Educativa y Cultural, the Secretaría de Relaciones Exteriores and the Mexican embassy in Japan.
