2008 Torneo Descentralizado

Deportivo Municipal and Total Clean finished the 2007 season in 11th and 12th place, respectively, in the aggregate table and thus were relegated to the Segunda División.

2009 Torneo Descentralizado

Atlético Minero and Sport Boys finished the 2008 season in 13th and 14th place, respectively, in the aggregate table and thus were relegated to the Segunda División.

José Manuel Pinto

He was also eventually awarded the captain's armband, appearing in 125 games in the first division and 56 in the second as well as competing in the UEFA Champions League (in 2003–04, although backing up Pablo Cavallero in the domestic league, he would appear in five group stage matches, as Celta proggressed to the round-of-16 game) and in the UEFA Cup.

José Orúe

After a loan to Barakaldo CF in the same region, in the second division, Orúe returned to Athletic to be an instrumental part of the sides that won one league and three Copa del Rey trophies in the 50's, including the double in the 1955–56 campaign, with the player contributing with 35 official games (one goal, in a 3–2 home win against Deportivo Alavés on 1 January 1956, his only as a professional).

Julio Alberto Moreno

Born in Candás, Asturias, Julio Alberto came through the ranks of Atlético de Madrid, appearing rarely for the Colchoneros during his early years and also serving a Segunda División loan stint with Recreativo de Huelva in the 1979–80 season.

Marcos Gomes de Araujo

Marquinhos started his professional career in Spain with Segunda División side CD Ourense.

Real Oviedo

When football in the country resumed in 1939, Oviedo were relegated to the second division, as their pitch was deemed unplayable – Francisco Franco's troops had used the stadium as an ammunition dump.

After two seasons, he moved abroad in 1994 to play in Spanish Segunda División club Atlético Marbella where he played until 1996 when he moved to Far East and had a short spell in South Korean K-League club Pohang Steelers, called "Atoms" by then.

Yuri de Souza

Yuri de Souza Fonseca, simply known as Yuri (born 8 August 1982 in Maceió, Alagoas), is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays for SD Ponferradina in the Spanish second division, as a forward.

In the 2005 summer, Yuri moved to Iberian neighbours Spain, mainly representing lowly Pontevedra CF (he also had a loan spell at UD Las Palmas in division two, but only appeared in 12 matches out of 42 without scoring).
