Agua Blanca is popular with Mexican tourists during the Christmas holiday and Semana Santa periods, but is relatively unvisited by the foreign tourists who flock to nearby Puerto Escondido.
The whole of the area of Iznájar has a vibrant social life with many fiestas celebrated throughout the year - most notably Semana Santa (Easter), Los Reyes (Three Kings or Twelfth Night) and the Fiesta de la Virgen.
There are several important events of festival that can be witness during 'Semana Santa', a Zamboangueño Expression of Holy Week.
Broadly similar to the English three term system, but with slightly shorter holidays at Christmas (23 December – 8 January) and Easter (one week - "Semana Santa"), and longer in the summer (normally from 23 June to 15 September).
