Panth Rattan Shiri Gurcharan Singh Tohra (24 September 1924 – 1 April 2004) was a former president of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC), a Sikh body in charge of controlling Gurdwara (Sikh places of worship).
Then at Shiri Yedenga School in Glen Norah, Harare, at the age of thirteen, he had his first music composition "Baba vaSamson".
In the days before the 2008 Zimbabwean presidential election Shiri, along with other Zimbabwean Defence chiefs, held a press conference where they stated that defence and security forces had been deployed across the country to maintain order.
Since that time he's been cast in several supporting roles before his high-profile appearance as Han Suk-kyu's secret agent partner in Kang Je-gyu's blockbuster thriller Shiri.
Wang's most significant accomplishment is his writing of the "Yangzhou shiri ji" (Account of Ten Days of Yangzhou) an account that details his survival of the notorious Massacre of Yangzhou that was perpetrated by the Manchu prince Dodo.
