In Autumn 2003, Boogie Pimps released their first single, a remix of Jefferson Airplane cover of The Great Society's "Somebody to Love".
Mealey starred in the music video for the Boogie Pimps version of disco/house track Somebody to love.
Alec Baldwin sang a part of the song in the episode Somebody to Love of 30 Rock while playing a piano, as his soon to be lover CC walked down the stairs at the party which they met.
Along with tracks from the first three albums, Briefcase Full of Blues, The Blues Brothers: Music from the Soundtrack and Made in America, it includes unreleased live versions of "Everybody Needs Somebody to Love", "Rubber Biscuit" and "Expressway to Your Heart."

His second solo CD, 'War and the World' (2006) is known for the single 'Shred,' 'Leaf,' and an unusual remake of Jefferson Airplane's 'Somebody to Love.' His third solo CD, "Adventures and Misadventures in Loveland," contains the song 'Hard Times' about the recent global economic crisis, 'Bent, but not broken,' as well as a cover of the Leonard Cohen song 'Suzanne.' 'Hard Times' won the October 2011 Searchlight Songwriting Competition.
