Alexkor v Richtersveld Community, decided by the Constitutional Court in 2001, is an important case in South African law, with a particular bearing on the law of property and the use of customary law.
In South African law immovable property is transferred via a system of registration in public registries known as Deeds Offices.
Cameron has co-authored a number of books, including Defiant Desire – Gay and Lesbian Lives in South Africa (with Mark Gevisser) and Honoré's South African Law of Trusts.
He was Technical Editor of the Speculum Juris Law Journal from 2003 to 2008, and joined the editorial team at the South African Law Journal (SALJ) as notes editor in 2009.
