While being promoted through Outreach Entertainment, they performed alongside several of the Midwest's then up-and-coming artists, most notably the Joplin, Missouri-based hip hop duo Midwest Connect composed of Southeast Kansas artist Brent Ward (Koo-Laid) and St. Louis rapper/artist Neno Blakc.

While visiting his parents for Christmas at Fort Riley, Kansas, in 1975, Atkinson found a job as a newspaper reporter for The Morning Sun in Pittsburg, Kansas, covering crime, local government, and other topics in southeast Kansas, an area known as “the Little Balkans” for its ethnic diversity and fractious politics.
Most recently, Dr. Giray performed Dvořák's violin concerto with the Southeast Kansas Symphony Orchestra, and "Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso" by Camille Saint-Saëns, and Poème by Ernest Chausson with Hays Symphony Orchestra.
