Around the hill was located the Uranus quarter, named after the main thoroughfare, which ran up the hill from Calea Rahovei to the Stadium, and thence to Splaiul Independenţei and Izvor.
It leads from Splaiul Independenței (which runs parallel to the Dâmboviţa River) to the north and then northwest up to Piaţa Victoriei, where Șoseaua Kiseleff continues north.
