Mark Arden (born 31 July 1956 in Newbury, Berkshire) is an English comedian and actor, best known for being one half of comic double act "The Oblivion Boys" with Stephen Frost.
Since being founded in 1998, it has hosted a number of notable artists and performers including Buzzcocks, The Blockheads, Hayseed Dixie, Andy C, Rusko, Pulled Apart by Horses, Two Door Cinema Club, Scratch Perverts, Krafty Kutz, Sub Focus, Alabama 3, The Correspondents, Vintage Trouble, Toddla T, Foreign Beggars, and comedians Phill Jupitus, Stephen Frost and Russell Howard.

Over the years, the club has played host to many well known comedians including Stephen Frost, Eddie Izzard, Jo Brand, Mark Lamarr, Bill Bailey, Mark Thomas, Jenny Eclair, Alan Davies, Harry Hill, Andy Parsons, Graham Norton and Norman Lovett.
The Players perform twice a week, Wednesday and Sunday, usually with a combination of six out of the seven regulars, although occasionally a guest performer will appear such as Niall Ashdown, Marcus Brigstocke, Stephen Frost, Eddie Izzard, Greg Proops, Steve Steen and Phill Jupitus.
