Each year, a new group of inductees are honored at the annual gala, featuring a cast of dancers and singers from the roster of Theatre Tuscaloosa, accompanied by the Steve Sample Orchestra, with arrangements by Steve Sample, Sr.
Rhythm Section: Robert Dickson and Chris Wendle on bass, Tom Wolfe and Jim Wallis on guitar, Steve Sample, Jr (son of Steve Sample, Sr) and Sonny Harris on drums, and Ray Reach on piano and organ.

The CD, produced by UAB Music Department faculty members Ray Reach and Henry Panion and recorded at UAB's Alys Stephens Center for the Performing Arts, features arrangements by Founding Director Everett Lawler, trombonist Charlie Ard, saxophonist Neil McLean, arranger Steve Sample, Sr and pianist Ray Reach.
