Keli Perrin, the current assistant director, is an alumna of the joint-degree program at Syracuse University College of Law and Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs.

Institute for National Security and Counterterrorism (INSCT) is a research institute sponsored by the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs and Syracuse University College of Law.

William C. Banks, the director of the Institute, is the Syracuse University College of Law Board of Advisors Distinguished Professor of Law and Professor of Public Administration at the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs.

From 1953-56 he was in the Syracuse University College of Law in a combination program which culminated in his earning of an LL.B., which was, later, converted to a J.D. He was in the Order of the Coif, and was a Notes Editor on the Syracuse Law Review.
