The tournament officially began on the June 19 edition of iMPACT!, with the first match of Round One, Team TNA's The Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley) versus Team International's Tyson Dux and Daivari.
They were managed by Hart throughout mid-2005, with their reign ending on the October 22 episode of TNA Impact! when they lost to America's Most Wanted following interference from Jeff Jarrett and Gail Kim.
Defeating Tom Lawler and J.P. Ace in a tag team match with The Saint while in Pro Wrestling Warfare the following month, he finally made he and Lovett made their return to TNA losing to The Naturals on TNA Impact on October 29.
