A small number of Zamboanga's indigenous peoples, such as the Tausugs, the Samals, and of Basilan such as the Yakans, majority of those people are Sunni Muslims, also speak the language.
It had a population of more than 80,900 people in 2011, made up mainly by Dusun (Kimaragang Dusun, Tobilung, and more), Rungus, Bajau, Orang Sungai, Suluk, and Chinese (mostly Hakka and Hokkien).
With more than twenty full-length Filipino dance works – among which are suites from the Cordillera, Bagobo, T'boli, Tausug, Maranao, the Aetas and the Talaandig among others – the ROFG has served to preserve the dance heritage of the Philippines.
