He served as the commander of II Corps, which oversaw the central highlands region, from 1 October 1957 until 13 August of the next year, when he was replaced by Major General Tôn Thất Đính.
The PAVN also captured a number of these M107s, fore example 4 of them were captured at Quảng Trị in March 1972, and 12 of them were taken during Tây Nguyên offensive in 1975.
