Cultural highlights ranged from the likes of Ghostpoet, Mount Kimbie and The Correspondents, to comedy and the screening of documentaries from around the world with BBC Four.
Since being founded in 1998, it has hosted a number of notable artists and performers including Buzzcocks, The Blockheads, Hayseed Dixie, Andy C, Rusko, Pulled Apart by Horses, Two Door Cinema Club, Scratch Perverts, Krafty Kutz, Sub Focus, Alabama 3, The Correspondents, Vintage Trouble, Toddla T, Foreign Beggars, and comedians Phill Jupitus, Stephen Frost and Russell Howard.
In addition to the Author and Germaine Pitt (or 'Lady Amherst', unrelated to any of Barth's previous novels), the correspondents are: Todd Andrews (from The Floating Opera), Jacob Horner (from The End of the Road), A.B. Cook (a descendent of Burlingame in The Sot-Weed Factor), Jerome Bray (associated with Giles Goat-Boy and Chimera) and Ambrose Mensch (from Lost in the Funhouse).
He co-hosted Vilma Santos' show Vilma! in 1989, and some years later, shows such as The Global Filipino on TFC and The Correspondents on ABS-CBN.
