The Che has also played host to many, if not most, of San Diego's most influential and notable indie bands, including Drive Like Jehu, Gogogo Airheart, The Locust, Three Mile Pilot, Heavy Vegetable, The Album Leaf, Rob Crow, Cattle Decapitation, Antioch Arrow, Weatherbox, and The Plot to Blow Up the Eiffel Tower.

The band played two mini-tours with Man or Astroman, as well as shows with many noise, metal, and indie rock bands of the day including: Craw, The Flying Luttenbachers, Jucifer, Sweep the Leg Johnny, Ex Models, The Violent Femmes, The Locust, Hot Rod Circuit, Cream Abdul Babar, VHS or Beta, Pferd, Apollo Up, and others.

Serbian also played live drums for Miami IDM/breakcore artist Otto von Schirach on a European tour and also when von Schirach played/toured with The Locust.

Holy Molar is a noise rock band from San Diego, composed of members that play or have played in The Locust, Antioch Arrow, Charles Bronson, Heroin, Cattle Decapitation, The Crimson Curse, Glass Candy, Get Hustle, Swing Kids, Das Oath, Struggle and Some Girls.

The track "Total Gore?" features guest vocals from Joey Karam of The Locust.

Sonny Kay

His digital collage illustrations and/or graphic design have adorned album sleeves for bands including Omar Rodríguez-López (for whom he's designed well over 20 albums), The Mars Volta, RX Bandits, 311 (band), The Locust, Shooter Jennings, Le Butcherettes, The Glitch Mob, I Set My Friends on Fire, Red Sparowes, Thavius Beck, The Drowning Men, Sun Ra, Bosnian Rainbows, and others.

The label soon became synonymous with bands such as The Locust, !!!, and The Mars Volta.

The Very Best of Men's Recovery Project

In addition to core band members Sam McPheeters and Neil Burke, the album features appearances from former members Kathleen Hanna (Le Tigre/Kill Rock Stars), bassist Joe Preston (Thrones; also the namesake of one of the album's tracks), and members of The Locust, Rah Bras, The Chinese Stars and Six Finger Satellite.
