The label has released Detroit acts such as The Sillies, The MC5, Iggy Pop, RUR, Don Rader, Hippodrome and numerous anthologies and collections by various artists including Abkeys Honourable New Order, Roger McGuinn (lead singer/guitarist of The Byrds) and others.
They have been inspired by 1950s rock music and the music of The Ramones, The MC5, Crime, The Dead Boys, The Stooges, The Pagans, and other pre-1977 punk acts that paved the way for the Crumbs' sound.

Throughout the 1960s and 1970s, Ann Arbor was home to many influential rock bands, such as the MC5, Alice Cooper, Iggy Pop, Brownsville Station, George Clinton, Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band, Mitch Ryder, and The Rationals.
Most of the station’s programming comes through once off short films and documentaries, although there are several regular shows including, the current affairs programme, 'Agenda'; 'Kick out the Jams', a music show named after the MC5 song of the same name; the 'Experiences of Childhood' series; the 'Book Show'; and feature interviews titled 'A Few Moments With...'.

Coffee sang and played in Thee Fourgiven and the Tommyknockers, influenced by late 1960s pre-punk hard-rock bands like the MC5 and The Doors as well as more recent acts like The Cramps, The Gun Club, and Billy Childish.
The band has toured in various parts of the US and in Windsor- some of the highlights have been in New York City as part of an after-party for the MC5 documentary "A True Testimonial" shown at the Annual Tribeca Film Festival.
