Among her television roles, she played Mrs. Bardell in The Pickwick Papers (1985), Anne Stanhope in The Six Wives of Henry VIII and had a semi-regular part in Grange Hill in the 1980s as the mother of regular character Roland Browning.
As a writer for television she contributed scripts to Upstairs, Downstairs, Follyfoot, The Irish R.M. and the episode of The Six Wives of Henry VIII concerning the King's marriage to Catherine of Aragon.

She continued to divide her appearances between stage, TV and film, appearing in the title role of a television production of Jean Anouilh's Antigone in 1969 and in the 1970 film Cromwell as Queen Henrietta Maria, before playing another Queen in 1970 – Anne Boleyn in the BBC's series The Six Wives of Henry VIII, which starred Keith Michell in the title role.
Lang's other parts included roles in The Six Wives of Henry VIII (1970), Z-Cars, Softly, Softly, The Vise, and an appearance as caveman Horg in the second, third and fourth episodes of the first Doctor Who story, An Unearthly Child.
