He appeared on RTÉ's The Sunday Game as a regular studio analyst on the highlights programme, while also appearing on the live edition of the programme as a co-commentator.
He was named as the Man of the match by The Sunday Game panel in the drawn 2012 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship Final on 9 September.
In 2000 his exceptional talent was acknowledged when he was named on the Galway "Hurling Team of the Millennium." He also works as an analyst on RTÉ's Gaelic games programme The Sunday Game.
He has also worked as a pundit with The Sunday Game however Ger Loughnane and Eddie Brennan are the better pundits.
