In 2005, Oosterhouse was a contributor to NBC's show Three Wishes, a primetime unscripted series with Amy Grant, in which Oosterhouse visited small towns across America to help wishes come true.
This led them to star in a number of movies in the 1990s and 2000s, including Dante's Peak, Three Wishes, Homeward Bound II: Lost in San Francisco, Zeus and Roxanne, Secondhand Lions, Can of Worms and Soccer Dog: The Movie.
Together with Abe Burrows, O'Neal adapted his 1949 novel Three Wishes for Jamie McRuin for the short-lived 1952 musical Three Wishes for Jamie.
Both "Three Wishes" and "Secret" appeared on the television series Gossip Girl in the episode "Hi, Society", where The Pierces made a cameo appearance as well; the music video for "Boring" appeared on the DVD of season 1.
