During his life, besides occupying the principal flutist chair in the Tonhalle, he was active performing as a solo flutist with many orchestras.
She has also performed in many of the world’s leading concert halls, such as the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées in Paris, the Mozarteum in Salzburg, the Kölner Philharmonie, the Haydn Saal at the Esterházy Palace, the Prinzregententheater in Munich and the Great Hall of Zurich’s Tonhalle.
In fall 2009, he conducted the Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich for an elaborate soundtrack, together with composer Diego Baldenweg and music producer Lionel Vincent Baldenweg, for the feature film 180° - AMOK (Source: Werbewoche), which was awarded "best film music 2010" at the Locarno International Film Festival.
In Europe, he conducted the premiere of an opera for La Scala Opera (Milan, Italy), and concerts at the prestigious Maggio Musicale (Florence, Italy), the Tonhalle (Zurich, Switzerland), and at the Holland Festival in the Concertgebouw (Amsterdam, the Netherlands), as well as the 750th Anniversary of the City of Berlin.
His compositions have been performed in Switzerland (Tonhalle, Zurich), USA (Carnegie Hall, New York), Germany (Berliner Philharmonie Hall), Great Britain (Steinway Hall in London), in most of the European countries and Australia.
In 1952 he conducted the first recording of L'incoronazione di Poppea, conducting the Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich in a live stage performance.
