Jerks was active as Coaching development manager at the New South Wales Institute of Sport, before he was appointed in May 2003 in the apron of the south Pacific plays the coach of Tuvalu.
In 2007, he was appointed football coach of Tuvalu during the 2007 South Pacific Games in Samoa.
