Since then four other women (Tonya Harding, Ludmila Nelidina, Yukari Nakano and Mao Asada) have succeeded in completing the jump in international competition, while another woman, Kimmie Meissner, first completed the jump at the 2005 U.S. Figure Skating Championships.
The club hosted the U.S. Figure Skating Championships six times between 1948 and 1976, and the World Figure Skating Championships five times during the same period, at the Broadmoor World Arena facility.
With partner Kristin Fortune, he is the 1965 & 1966 U.S. national champion.
He then joined forces with Amanda Magarian for several years, with a fourth place finish for the pair at the 2000 Nationals.
With partner Dennis Sveum, she was the 1965 and 1966 U.S. national champion.
With partner Bert Wright, she is the 1957 U.S. national champion.
The pairs team of Bianca Butler / Joseph Jacobsen and Tenile Victorsen are among her and Dinev's former students that have qualified for the U.S. Figure Skating Championships at the senior level.
