In 1984, Sauk City restaurateur George Culver purchased the A&W on Phillips Boulevard (U.S. Highway 12) and began renovating it.

The Wonder Spot was a tourist attraction located off US Route 12 in Lake Delton, Wisconsin from 1952 to 2006.
It passes through the small communities of Marxville and Springfield Corners, and turns east to follow US 12 through Springfield Corners, a concurrency of about one mile (1.6 km).
