It was formed in 2006 in eastern Spain after three years of research by scientists and engineers connected with the University of Alicante.
She started her professional career as a researcher at the University of Alicante, and later she worked as a professor at the Miguel Hernández University.
He received the "Premios Notario del Humor" 2008 from the University of Alicante.
In March 2005, the Universidad de Alicante awarded Carbó with "el premio Notario del Humor" ("the Notary of humor" Award)) in recognition of his entire career, along with Marin Xaquín who was another honoree.
He is also the recipient of a Doctor of Humane Letters, Honoris Causa from DePaul University, a Doctor Honoris Causa from the University of Alicante (Spain), a Doctor Honoris Causa from the University of Vienna and the UCLA Medal, UCLA's highest honor.
