He completed his elementary and middle school programs in Mitrovica, while his law studies were completed at the University of Pristina, Kosovo, where he achieved outstanding results among his peers.

He has been working at the Faculty of Law of the University of Pristina in Kosovo since 1987, where he is currently a professor of International Law and International Relations.
Later continued his studies at the University of Pristina and received the degree of Bachelor of Arts in Mass communication.
He holds B.A. in English Language and Literature from the University of Pristina.

Andrijana Videnović (born 1 September 1964) is a Serbian theater and movie actress and Associate Professor of Diction at the University of Pristina Faculty of Arts, in North Kosovo.
He was awarded an honorary doctorate by the University of Pristina, in Kosovo, in 1975, during his visit to Yugoslavia.
On Vidovdan 2004, he was rewarded the Distinguished Professor Award by the Chancellor of the University of Priština.
Haziri was part of the students' leadership structures within the University of Pristina during the 1990s.
He is one of the leaders of the Serbian Progressive Party and an expert on Historical Geography, Head of the Historical Department at the Philosophical Faculty of the University of Priština in North Kosovska Mitrovica.
After the opening of the University of Pristina Mekuli was elected primarius of the School of Medicine which opened in 1970.
