The castle has inspired both musicians - Chopin wrote his Valse in A flat major here - and artists; Caspar David Friedrich sold his "Tetschen Altar Or Cross In The Mountains" to the Thuns.
For the Bavarian Radio Station, the violinist has recorded various pieces like Ballade Sonata for solo violin No. 3 by Eugène Ysaÿe, Edvard Grieg's Sonata in C minor, the Sonata by Maurice Ravel, Valse-Scherzo, Op. 34 and Melody, Op. 42/3 by Tchaikovsky, the Béla Bartók's Solo Sonata, Antonio Bazzini's Dance of the Goblins, Sibelius and the Second Violin Concerto of Karol Szymanowski.
The company was honored to receive the licenses and permission from the George Balanchine Trust to perform Serenade, Who Cares?, Tarantella, Dance of the Hours, Concerto Barocco, Allegro Brillante, and Valse Fantasie.
Stravinsky conceived the Scherzo Fantastique as abstract music, but on 10 January 1917 it was performed as a ballet blanc at the Paris Opera House, with choreography by Léo Staats to a scenario based on Maeterlink's essay "La Vie des Abeilles" (the life of the bees).
On 20 or 21 September 1878, as part of the 1878 Paris World Exhibition, he performed at the Trocadéro in a concert of works by Tchaikovsky, including the first public performance of the Valse-Scherzo in C, conducted by Nikolai Rubinstein.
