She was proclaimed first runner up in the 2010 Binibining Pilipinas pageant, won by eventual Miss Universe fourth runner up Venus Raj, but had to resign and give up part of her prize package to rejoin the pageant in 2011.
She was crowned by the outgoing titleholder Maria Venus Raj at the The Arena Entertainment and Recreational Center of the People, San Juan City, Philippines.
The eventual winners were Miss Philippines-International 2010 Krista Kleiner, Miss Philippines-World 2010 Czarina Gatbonton, and Miss Philippines-Universe 2010 Venus Raj.
Maria Venus Raj competed at the Binibining Pilipinas 2010 title on March 6, 2010 where she won the Bb. Pilipinas-Universe title, but she was briefly replaced by second runner up Helen Nicolette Henson as the Philippines' representative to the Miss Universe 2010 pageant.

Ma. Kristelle Lazaro of Candaba got the title of Miss Philippines Earth Fire and Maria Venus Raj won the Miss Philippines Eco Tourism title.
