He made numerous appearances in the Late Night Poker television series, and reached the grand final in series 2 (beating Victoria Coren's pocket aces along the way) and the semi-final in series 5.
In April 2002 Bush made his one and only appearance on Late Night Poker, finishing 5th in the heat won by Surinder Sunar and also featuring "Mad" Marty Wilson, Dave Welch and Victoria Coren.
Following this, John was invited onto the Late Night Poker television series in its sixth season, but was unable to progress through his heat which featured Ken Lennaárd, Victoria Coren, Tony Bloom, Gary Jones, Dave Ulliott and Ross Boatman.
