Delegate Kelly grew up in Bethesda where she attended Walter Johnson High School.
Two decades later in 1987 the high school merged into Walter Johnson High School.
When it closed after his sophomore season, he moved to Walter Johnson High School where he was an All State and Parade Magazine High School All American his senior season.
