Sholing resigned at the end of the season for financial reasons, to drop down to the Wessex League.
The club are currently members of the Premier Division of the Wessex League and play at the Waterside Sports & Social Club in Holbury.
This new club was formed from three different local teams along with the ashes of the defunct Town club and took the place of the ambitious Ecchinswell in Division 1 of the Hampshire League and within a year had won promotion to the Wessex League where they would enjoy great success.
The former Southampton 1976 FA Cup winner David Peach as player-manager and the Hampshire cricket wicket keeper Adrian Aymes both turned out for the club during their Wessex League days.
