Fay wrote it to a choral score of U2's With or Without You, but the band personally declined her the license to use the score.
On the PopMart Tour, "Bullet" instead led into "Please"; Elevation Tour performances were followed by "With or Without You" or a cover of "What's Going On" by Marvin Gaye, and on the Vertigo Tour, "Miss Sarajevo" replaced "Running to Stand Still" for the last 85 concerts.
At the end of the last track of live recording, the band included their own version of U2's "With or Without You", from the 1987 album The Joshua Tree.
