In its 2004 election manifesto, the victorious Spanish Socialist Workers' Party (PSOE) included plans to adopt absolute primogeniture, a proposal which was supported by the leader of the main opposition party, the conservative People's Party.
In 2009, the Danish constitution was altered, granting absolute primogeniture to the Danish throne, meaning that the eldest child, regardless of gender, takes precedence in the line of succession.
Like her sister, Purnika, Kritika was not originally in the line of succession to the Nepalese Throne; however, in July 2006 the Nepalese government proposed changing the succession law to absolute primogeniture.
