A medical graduate who has successfully completed the Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) course and has been registered with Indian Medical Council or any state medical council is considered a general practitioner.

Family physicians complete an undergraduate degree, medical school, and three more years of specialized medical residency training in family medicine.


Lawson Wulsin

Lawson Reed Wulsin (born June 17, 1951) is a professor of psychiatry and family medicine at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, and is a practicing Psychiatrist for the Cincinnati Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
