Golpe (guitar technique) is a Flamenco guitar technique where one uses the fingers to tap on the soundboard of the guitar, from the Spanish "golpe", meaning to strike.

It was music Falla had spent years studying, having grown up with it, hearing it directly from Gitano friends, cantaores and tocaores.
David Rubio was born in Perry, New York, and acquired his new surname in his twenties while professionally playing flamenco guitar which he had learned studying in Seville with, among others, the guitarist Pepe Martinez.
He also acted on stage in Moscow in the 1950s with John Gielgud, and occasionally played flamenco guitar music in a Spanish restaurant in London.
Soon after the release of this album Jozua Rosenberg left the group to be able to concentrate more on playing flamenco guitar and Rinus Steinbach, who played bass with Jimmy Rosenberg in Gipsy Kids and Sinti stepped in to fill the gap.
He has met and been inspired by some of the great legends of Flamenco guitar including Paco de Lucia, Sabicas, and Mario Escudero.
