Order of Manitoba

The main badge consists of a gold medallion in the form of a stylized crocus—the official provincial flower—with the obverse in white enamel with gold edging, and bearing at its centre the escutcheon of the arms of Manitoba, all surmounted by a St. Edward's Crown symbolizing the Canadian monarch's role as the fount of honour.

Sicilian nobility

Their dynasty was the fount of honour which regulated the titulature of the Sicilian nobility until their deposition in 1860, whereupon the House of Savoy as the new kings of Italy recognized the titles, but not the traditional precedence, of the Sicilian nobility as part of the Italian nobility.
