The campaign, called Fight Back New York, successfully ousted Sen. Hiram Monserrate (D-Queens), Sen. William Stachowski (D-Buffalo), and Sen. Frank Padavan (R-Queens) replacing each of them with senators who support marriage equality.
Notable performances include: The award-winning production of "The Potman Spoke Soothe," marriage equality rally against California's Proposition 8, a guest appearance in the touring production of "Stomp," and singing for Madonna during her 2008 "Sticky & Sweet Tour".
D.C. Councilman David Catania introduced the Religious Freedom And Civil Marriage Equality Amendment Act 2009 on October 6, 2009, to allow same-sex couples to marry in the district.
