The single was released on green vinyl in Ireland on the CBS label, with the recorded version produced by Nicky Graham, who would go on to find greater success as producer to The Nolans and Bros among others.

The actors performed a Nolan Sister's routine at the session, which was "later included on EastEnders as part of one of the Queen Vic's karaoke nights".

The Nolans sold millions of recordings worldwide, particularly in Japan where they sold over nine million albums and won the 1981 Tokyo Music Festival with the song "Sexy Music".
