The Playwrights' Center

Members of the Playwrights' Center include nationally distinguished artists such as Lee Blessing, Ping Chong, Paula Vogel, and Jeffrey Hatcher, and the work of Center playwrights has won every major recognition the field offers, including two Pulitzers and the Tony Award.


2009–10 Louisville Cardinals women's basketball team

In 2010–11, the Cardinals women's team will join the school's men's team at the new KFC Yum! Center in Downtown Louisville.

2012 NCAA Division I Women's Volleyball Tournament

The 2012 NCAA Division I Women's Volleyball Tournament started on November 29, 2012 and ended on December 15 at the KFC Yum! Center in Louisville, Kentucky with Texas winning the national championship.

Aravind Enrique Adyanthaya

Adyanthaya has been awarded a Jerome Playwriting Fellowship and a McKnight Advancement Grant, both from the Playwrights' Center; a Jerome Performance Art Fellowship by Intermedia Arts and an Artist of Color Directing Fellow at New York Theatre Workshop.

Wax Fang

In October 2010, Wax Fang released a 17 minute digital only single on Removador Recordings & Solutions called The Astronaut (Part 1). The band opened for My Morning Jacket at the KFC Yum! Center to commemorate the release.
