Video game producer

The earliest documented use of the term producer in games was by Trip Hawkins, who established the position when he founded Electronic Arts in 1982.

His vision—influenced by his relationship with Jerry Moss—was that producers would manage artists and repertoire in the same way as in the music business, and Hawkins brought in record producers from A&M Records to help train those first producers.


Mathieu Ferland

Mathieu Ferland (b. January 26, 1974) is a Canadian video game producer best known for producing the Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell-series for Ubisoft Montreal.

Mega Man 9

According to its producers Keiji Inafune and Hironobu Takeshita, the development team intentionally made the graphics, sound, and gameplay of Mega Man 9 as simple as possible to adhere to the likeness of the fan and critical favorite Mega Man 2, released in 1988.
